About Me
Forming a business within the Art industry has been a personal goal for my career path for many years, with creativity being a part of my life from a young age. Over time I have gained experience and qualifications in a diverse range of artistic skills, from completing various Art and Design courses, as well as attending Birmingham's School of Art. Helping me to achieve my BA (Hons) Fine Art degree.
Within my art practise I tend to mix my enjoyment of creativity with my own personal battles of mental health, focussing my subjects on the aesthetics of psychosis within society and contemporary artworks. Experimenting with various artistic methods became an escape for me, which led me to my current style of work.
My art pieces are composed using the traditional technique of stippling; a creation of pattern simulating varying degrees of shading with the repetitive motion of marking small dots on the paper. The minute details found in nature, varying objects, the human figure, combined with my own personal compulsive behaviours, inspires the collection of works produced today.
As well as my ink drawings, I enjoy completing special commission pieces for my clients. The process of not knowing what someone may ask for and the challenge of accomplishing an art piece that is personal to that individual, gives me a feeling of contentment.
